TESTIMONY To the excellence of HUB's Equipment & Services |

Real great furnace and support. At an affordable cost. I purchased a hub consolidated electric melt furnace from a retiring glassblower who swore his love for this furnace. With no previous knowledge of electric molybdenum furnaces I purchased it and contacted John Chiles at HUB for support. He let me know his support follows his furnaces not his purchasers. It was true, the written and verbal support for install was excellent. Then on firing, things didn't initially go well, and I was not easy on him. I pestered him with lots of concerns that turned out were caused by our service. It wasn't until we blew a transformer in the field and got it replaced that this was discovered. Now it purrs like a kitten. Have had it on for four months and it is cruising along melting beautiful glass at very a affordable cost of $700 a month including all the other electric equipment. I'm so happy!
Thank you, John. Your commitment and diligent efforts to help and educate me about set up and operations of this furnace are so appreciated! I know how many other industries work. If your not the paying customer their support stops there. Although I wasn't a paying customer this time I have been in business as a glass blower for 35 years and have purchased other things from Hub, like crucibles etc.,it was always a good relationship, this just feels unexpectedly wonderful and I had to write it down. Now I have the comfort of knowing HUB and John will be there to supply whatever I need for the future of my new 250lbs electric melt glass furnace!

I have been involved with glass blowing for the past 35+ years, professionally and in education. During that time
I have had opportunity to use many different products and services, some work and some are a waste of time.
When it comes to furnaces, glory holes, and annealing ovens, glass can be vary destructive. When a product works beyond its expected life span I tend to stick with it. The products HUB Consolidated manufactures are built extremely well with state of the art components rendering maximum thermal efficiency. The technical support offered by John Chiles is stellar, he knows his products. I am teaching glass at California State University at Fresno now and all the HUB products have proven to be "student proof." I would highly recommend HUB products to any and all who want well built long lasting hot glass equipment. |

We have two MU 200 furnaces here at Vitrix. John built the first one in 1988 and the second one in 1997. We’ve been cranking glass out of them ever since. That’s 31 years total with only basic maintenance. The furnaces are very efficient workhorses and we expect many more years of great glass from them. John has given us great support any time we had a question. I am a very satisfied customer! |

John, you are the best. I couldn't be happier with the quality of my equipment and the unbelievable service after the sale. There has not been a question or a problem that
you were not able to diagnose and treat over the phone. You have always been available and patient and for that
I am truly thankful! Everything has been rock-solid and
in working order since HUB built and installed the hot shop at More Fire in 2000. |

Outstanding service and support for the furnace installation and first light up. And when I needed to replace the crucible, it was the same story. John Chiles said he’d be available anytime for any questions or advice and he is; this is personal service at its best. The MU 200 glass furnace has been wonderful. Easy to load cullet, easy to gather glass, easy to maintain and the electronics keep the temperature where I want it as long as I want it; running this furnace has really been “automatic”. Also, can’t say enough about the safety controls and the peace of mind they provide. The glory hole was rebuilt by HUB over the summer with a new lining, doors, electronics and safety controls. It lights easily, comes up to temperature rapidly, and performs very well. It’s a dream to use and run. |
|
I can’t say enough about the service and technical
support. I can call at anytime and get the answer I need. John is super patient, offers great advice, and has solved every problem that I have had. I always get a quick response on emails and if I leave a phone message, I know I will get a return call soon after. I can’t imagine using or purchasing any other equipment than HUB's. |

When I was researching glass furnace and annealing oven manufacturers to set up my new glass casting facility,
John Chiles and his company, HUB Consolidated, kept popping to the top of the list of everyone we talked with. And, as I soon learned, for good reason. John's elegant, solidly-built creations are clearly the result of decades
of experience. Even better, after I made the purchase and the units were installed, John and his team made
(and still continue to make) themselves readily available
to answer any and all questions I have regarding maintenance and operations of the equipment. They obviously take
a lot of pride in their work, and they deserve to! |

I have worked on and with HUB furnaces an
equipment for years. The fact that HUB furnaces last
so long is a testament to their design, and now more important than ever; their efficiency. HUB started with a good idea and refined it over the years. They made
it so easy to build that the kit furnace is an affordable and reliable way to save money when you build your own studio. That's what we did here at the Banana Factory. I like the simplicity of design in all of HUB’s equipment, and the fact that John is always there to answer the simplest of questions is the best.

Recently I've had the pleasure of working with HUB Consolidated who built the equipment for our completely renovated hot shop at Greenfield Village. I have found
my experience with HUB Consolidated and John Chiles to be very positive. The equipment designs made by HUB are well thought out, extremely durable and easy to maintain, as well as extraordinarily efficient. |
|
Prior to our rebuild, we had been using a pair of HUB MU 100 furnaces that were custom built for our space.
We used these furnaces for 5 years. As the studio grew,
it became apparent that we needed larger furnaces. When the time came to upgrade, the decision to stay with HUB was easy. Through those 5 years each furnace was charged just about every other day, and though they were both quite
literally used and abused in their tenure here, they are still operating, as good as new, at another local production facility; a true testament to the quality and durability of the HUB furnace. |
|
Another point worth mentioning is the excellent tech support that HUB provides. It is clear that John takes pride in his work and is sincerely committed to backing the equipment that he builds, as well as supporting the people that use it. He is always available to answer my questions and to help trouble shoot if things come up. John was also very good about designing and building custom and unusual equipment to suit our specific functions and specifications.
I would strongly recommend the services of HUB Consolidated to anyone considering building or upgrading a glass studio. |

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent service and products you have provided us with over the past several months. You were all helpful and supportive when we needed it the most. I think we are a great example of how your plans can provide a bunch of rookies with a fantastic studio. We look forward to doing more business with you in the future. Any time I can help convince someone
to buy your products, I would be happy to. Thanks again! |
